The police initiated proceedings against a resident of Mikepércs due to well-founded suspicions of committing the crime of looting and the misdemeanor of misusing a public document. According to the investigation, the suspect stole various valuables from a man sleeping on a bench in the early hours of October 22, 2022. The police collected data after the victim’s complaint, as a result of which a man who could be linked to the commission of the crime soon came into their sight.
The detectives were on duty in downtown Debrecen at dawn on October 30, 2022, when they recognized the suspected perpetrator on the street. After being produced, the man was interrogated as a suspect, during which he confessed. The police took the 33-year-old resident of Mikepércs into criminal custody and submitted a motion for his arrest, which was ordered by the District Court of Debrecen on November 1, 2022.
