A car and a truck collided head-on near Gelej, on M3 motorway, the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Police Headquarters announced on police.hu early Thursday.
According to the police, the car drove against the traffic from the M30 highway onto the M3 highway – on the outskirts of Gelej, at the 150th kilometer section of the highway – where it collided head-on with a truck. As a result of the collision, the man driving the car suffered so serious injuries that he died on the spot. Traffic on the motorway is constantly under police control.
