Police from the Berettyóújfalu Police Department soon found the car and the young man who took the vehicle without the owner’s permission.
A man from Berettíóújfalu reported to the police on February 6, 2023, around 7:00 p.m. that someone had stolen his car parked in front of his apartment. The police went to the scene and collected data, then the Hajdú-Bihar County Activity Management Center informed all the patrol officers on duty about the wanted vehicle. Thanks to the quick, coordinated transfer of information, the Konyár district commissioners and their fellow patrolmen spotted the circled car, which was parked in front of the store in the settlement.
The officers soon arrested the 19-year-old, who did not deny it. During the interrogation, he told the investigators that he had no money for a bus ticket, he was very cold, so he was looking for a car. He never had a driver’s license, but that didn’t bother him at all. And riding it was not difficult, because the owner left the ignition key in it.
