A truck overturned near Hejőkürt, on M3 motorway. Unfortunately, the driver suffered so severe injuries that he died on the spot.
The police closed the entire width of the highway in both directions for the duration of the site investigation and technical rescue, the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Police Headquarters announced on the police.hu website on Tuesday night.
According to the police, the driver of the truck traveling in the direction of Nyíregyháza lost control of his vehicle and broke through the barrier separating the tracks. As a result of the collision, the man driving the vehicle suffered such serious injuries that he died on the spot.
The police have closed the highway in both directions, in its entire width, for the duration of the investigation and technical rescue, and the traffic has been diverted to main road number 35 at Hejőkürt and Polgár.
