The Berettyóújfalu District Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against the man who punched his ex-girlfriend’s partner for the crime of serious bodily injury.
According to the indictment, on April 6, 2023, around 6:00 p.m., in Berettyóújfalu, on the road leading out of one of the department stores, he noticed that the victim was driving his car and that the offender’s ex-girlfriend was traveling in the vehicle.
Enraged by this, the accused ran after the car and flagged it down. The victim got out of the vehicle, but then, without any preliminary argument, the defendant attacked him and punched him twice in the face. As a result, the man fell to the ground and the defendant also kicked the victim lying on the ground, then left the scene. As a result of the abuse, the victim suffered a fractured nasal bone that took more than 8 days to heal.
The Berettyóújfalu District Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against the defendant, who admitted to committing the crime, for the crime of grievous bodily harm at the Berettyóújfalu District Court. The district prosecutor’s office proposed in the indictment for the issuance of a criminal sentence that the district court impose a prison sentence on the accused, without conducting a trial, based on the content of the documents, the execution of which should be suspended for a probationary period.
