The Debrecen Traffic Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against the driver, who drove into an intersection without stopping and hit the legally riding cyclist, for the misdemeanor of negligently causing a classified road accident.
According to the indictment, on July 8, 2022, at 7:45 a.m., the defendant was driving a car owned by his employer on the outskirts of Hajdúszoboszló on a business road, in the direction of public road No. 3321. At that time, the weather conditions were ideal, without precipitation, and there was little traffic.
When the driver arrived at the intersection of road No. 3321, he ignored the instruction of the sign indicating the obligation to stop and give way and drove into the intersection. The victim was riding on a bike on the bike path built parallel to road No. 3321, to whom the perpetrator did not give priority, so he hit him. As a result of the collision, the victim fell from the bicycle and sustained serious injuries that took more than 8 days to heal, one of which healed leaving behind a permanent disability.
The accident occurred and the victim was injured due to the behavior of the accused KRESZ rule breaker.

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Debrecen brought charges against the defendant, who admitted to committing the crime, for the misdemeanor of negligently causing a road accident resulting in permanent disability at the Hajdúszoboszló District Court. In the indictment for issuing a criminal sentence, the district prosecutor’s office proposed that the district court, based on the contents of the documents, impose a fine and a ban on road driving against the defendant without conducting a trial.
