The National Tax and Customs Administration filed a report with the Debrecen Police Department regarding an unknown individual who had ordered cannabis seeds through Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport.
Investigators quickly began their work and focused on a 38-year-old resident of Debrecen. On October 17, 2024, a search was conducted at the man’s residence, where additional drug-related substances and nearly two million forints were discovered and seized. It was revealed that the suspect had been selling illicit substances, identified by expert examination as cocaine, amphetamines, and marijuana, within his circle of acquaintances.
The dealer was arrested by the police and placed in criminal custody, and on October 18, the court ordered his detention. The 38-year-old man faces charges of drug trafficking, while one of his customers will be held accountable for drug possession.
