The Budapest Police Headquarters has listed a 31-year-old American woman, who came to Hungary as a tourist and disappeared from a Budapest nightclub on November 5th 2024, as missing – reports the BRFK in its statement. Mackenzie Michalski traveled to Budapest from Portland, Oregon, and was last seen on November 4th near Szimpla Kert, in the party district. She did not board her flight back hometo the USA, nor did she check out of the Airbnb where she was staying.
The VI. district investigators noticed several suspicious circumstances in connection with the woman’s disappearance, on the basis of which they did not rule out that the American woman was the victim of a crime. They saw a man with whom the missing girl was seen in several nightclubs; later he was identified, and the 37-year-old Irish citizen M. L. T. was arrested in front of a district apartment.
Investigators from the Life Protection Department interrogated the Irish man as a suspect for the crime of murder, who gave a statement and also showed the police where he hid the woman’s body. He was taken into custody and his arrest has been initiated.
