The five-year-old girl who drove her bicycle onto the road and was hit by a car at an intersection in the 16th district, Budapest suffered serious skull injuries.
“The sidewalk slopes toward the intersection. We know that the brake on her bike didn’t work, so she couldn’t stop, she sped up on the slope, and her parents ran after her in vain, but they couldn’t catch her, and she finally rolled onto the road in front of the cars. And the driver couldn’t stop in time, that’s when he hit the little girl,” said the TV2 report, according to which the driver first drove on, but later he went back to the site of the accident. No proceedings were initiated against the driver, but the police are investigating the incident as a violation of the rules.
