The ensemble Liza Pusztai, Renáta Katona, Sugár Battai, Luca Szűcs beat the Greeks 45-37 and then the Japanese 45-32. He then battled the Spaniards in the semi-finals to get to 45-44 with a nine-point disadvantage, but he started the final ass with a five-hit advantage – according to the battle website.
The bronze match against the Italians also took a turn for the worse, with the Hungarians winning five of the nine duels, who eventually fought for third place, with Pusztai turning 37-40 to 45-44 in the final pair.
In the individual competition that ended on Saturday, he was the best among the Hungarians by finishing ninth.
