With the new month the Tourinform Debrecen’s campaign entitled Tourinform Tips for Tourists puts the focus on festivals.

Following the thematic campaign of the Hungarian National Tourist Office that announced 2010 The Year of Festivals in Hungary, the introducing destinations in the Tourinform office in Debrecen will bring their best offers (sights and festivals) to present to the local public. Budapest and the Central Danubian Turistical Region opens the campaign in February. They will be followed by the Southern Great Plain Region (8-12 February), Northern Hungary (15-19 February) and the Northern Great Plain Region (22-26 February).

Budapest and the Central Danubian Region is in the centre of the country not only because of its geographical position but because it offers so many interesting and unforgettable sights, museums, galleries, events and program offers that it is definitely one of the most popular and visited destinations in Hungary.
The Budapest Spring Festival that lasts until 28 February awaits everyone interested in high and popular culture. For the period of the festival the hotels in Budapest offer accomodations at a reduced price (6250 HUF/person/night) so February is really a perfect time to take a short or a longer visit in the capital of Hungary and its region.
