From January wifi will be available on more trains …
The Hungarian Railway Company (MÁV-Start) will extend its free wifi connections available on some Inter City trains. The service provider will be the Hungarian Telecom Company (Magyar Telekom). The preparatory work for the implementation of technical necessities has already started on 735 vehicles. According to the plans, the transformation of the carriages will have been completed by the end of January.
The Company has been providing free wifi since last September on the trains passing between Budapest-Keleti – Miskolc – Nyíregyháza – Debrecen – Szolnok – Budapest-Nyugati. It seems that more and more passengers are using the service. After the extension of the wifi network approximately 50 million passengers can use the World Wide Web while traveling.
