Another measure to slow the epidemic and protect the elderly will come into force: the elderly shopping bar will be reintroduced from Tuesday, the Government Information Center said.
In grocery stores, drugstores and pharmacies, the elderly are free to shop outside the protected shopping period.
It was recalled that the government has accepted the proposal of the Council of the Elderly, so that seniors will have a customer time zone from 9.00 am to 11.00 am on Tuesdays (Monday to Friday) and from 8.00 am to 10.00 am on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
During this time interval, only people over the age of 65 can enter grocery stores, a drugstore (perfume, drugstore, household cleaner, chemical and sanitary paper product store) and a drugstore (pharmacy).
Attention was drawn to the fact that the protection of the elderly is of paramount importance, as the practice of the virus is present in all Hungarian settlements, and the elderly and chronic users are at greater risk of a more severe course of the infection. Elderly people are also properly asked to take care of themselves, avoid crowds, enclosed spaces and, if possible, ask their relatives for shopping, or even municipal help, the Government Information Center wrote.
