Twenty-three contestants out of ninety won the Annual Family Friendly Workplace Award of 2012. The University of Debrecen won a special prize.
The family-friendly workplace competition is announced annually since 2000, by which the Ministry aims to protect and support small, medium and large enterprises and financial organizations.
Miklós Soltész, State Secretary of Social Affairs emphasized the importance of families, upon which the nation is built. He also pointed out that companies should consider their employees’ family issues.
The University of Debrecen won the title of „family-friendly institution” in 2011 and now it received 1.200.000 Ft grant alongside with the Special Prize. The certification was taken over by András Berényi, leader of the Mental Health and Equal Opportunities Center.
A national conference – with the participation of the prize winners- will be held in Debrecen in spring 2013.
