Foreign students of the University of Debrecen were greeted with an authentic Hungarian dinner on 21 September.
200 new foreign students came to Debrecen in the confines of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship. Students came from the state members of the European Union and also from Albania, Serbia, Ukraine, Turkey, China, Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan and from the United States of America.
The traditional Welcome Dinner for the newly arrived was held on 21 September 2016. The dinner night was about Hungarian specialties and Hungarian culture; students could taste authentic Hungarian dishes and could try themselves out in Hungarian folk dancing.
Réka Jakab, president of the Debrecen ESN delivered a speech.
