Harmony in Diversity Symphonic Concert

University

Join this upcoming event, a special concert with an orchestra comprised of international and Hungarian musicians.Date: Thursday 1st of December 7:30 – 9:00 pm

Venue: University Chapel (1. Egyetem square)

Programme: HARMONY IN DIVERSITY Symphonic Concert performed by the University of Debrecen Student Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Péter Csató.

An orchestral performance has traditionally been a symbol of harmony, unity and cooperation, which also goes to show how people of diverse cultural backgrounds can work together and create something unique. Making music together is especially suitable for creating an environment where no one is judged, discriminated or stigmatized on the basis of their nationality, ethnicity, or religion. Zerophobia Team team hopes that this musical encounter also enables people to see for themselves that there is much more that we share with others than what separates us from them.

Concert program:

Dimitri Shostakovich: Waltz No. 2 from Jazz Suite No. 2
(arranged by Péter Csató)

Eric Satie: Gymnopedie No. 1 (arranged by Péter Csató)

Astor Piazzola: Libertango (arr. James Kazik and Péter Csató)

Leonard Bernstein: Tonight from West Side Story
(arranged by Robert Longfield and Péter Csató)

After the concert, Zerophobia Team would like to invite you to a small reception as well, where they will also collect donations of non-perishable food worth about HUF 300 to 500 (flour, oil, rice, pasta, canned food, etc.). The donations will be distributed to families in need.
