Summer University provides 11 types of language courses this year and this time there is a number of exclusive languages among them.Summer University is a place in Debrecen where foreign students can learn Hungarian language during their stay in the country.
This year there will be extra language courses too apart from the Czech, Korean, Polish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Turkish, Romanian, Swedish, Hungarian and Ukrainian lessons. In 2017 students of the Summer University can learn Lovari Gypsy and Arabic languages too.
In the institution many of the teachers are native language speakers; for example Arabic language will be taught by a Jordanian teacher. Korean, Norwegian, Romanian, Czech and Ukrainian languages are also taught by native speakers. Students can learn not only the languages at the Summer University courses (2 lessons a week), but they will study about the culture and history of the chosen foreign country too.
Péter Szaffkó, head of the Summer University said that the most popular foreign language courses were the Turkish, the Sweden and the Norwegian ones and there were about 100 students attending the lessons.
Those who are interested in language learning can attend courses for beginners, while there are advanced courses provided for the students in Norwegian, Turkish, Romanian, Korean and Swedish languages.
