Faculty of Dentistry in Debrecen provides excellent high-tech education to its students and it is one of the most popular faculties of the institution. According to Csaba Hegedűs dean of the faculty, students who are studying dentistry in Debrecen, are offered innovative ways and techniques (e.g. 3D printer, CBCT machine and a special oral scanner) during their university years and the infrastructure is also very modern in the institution. A special radiology system was also introduced in 2016 which makes establishing diagnoses and planning treatments much easier.
Next outstanding innovation at the Faculty of Dentistry will be that virtual 3D space which is constructed together with the Faculty of Information Technology. Users of the virtual 3D space will be able to work, use equipment and make measurements even from home.
Students of the Faculty of Dentistry receive their degrees after 10 semesters and they will have great opportunities on the labour market. During their last 4 semesters students participate actively in patient care and get enough experience to start their career right after their graduation.
One of the main goals of the Faculty of Dentistry in Debrecen is to raise the number of foreign students with English language knowledge. They also would like to co-operate with the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Medicine in the future.
