The university’s library has been renovated. According to the plans, university students can visit the new library from this school year’s second semester.
The University of Debrecen received 300 million HuF for the renovation from the European Union. The renovation affected the Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Natural Sciences in the Main Building, as well as the Library of Life Sciences, which is also located on the University Campus.
With this major renovation work that began in the summer, the library interiors have been renewed and redesigned, and new reading spaces have been created.
“The renovation will enable the library to meet the needs of the 21st century, while it is placing great emphasis on preserving tradition” – said Gyöngyi Karácsony Director General of DEENK.
