As the best Hungarian medical training place, the University of Debrecen took 228th place in the Round University Ranking medical ranking. The institution has advanced more than a hundred positions in the thematic list over the past two years.
It improved its results by more than fifty last year, and the University of Debrecen took 228th place in the Round University Ranking (RUR) 2021 Medical Sciences World University Ranking, making it the best medical training university in Hungary. DE performed best in education (83), followed by international indicators (231), financial sustainability (289) and science (406).
The health industry, including health and medicine, is a particularly important focus area for the University of Debrecen, so this great result is a good feedback to the institution about the work done
– said Ákos Pintér. The general deputy rector of the University of Debrecen added: it is a special pleasure that the institution can continuously develop, as in 2019 it was only 346, last year it was 296, and this year it was already 228 as the best Hungarian university.
The Round University Ranking (RUR) 2021 Medical Sciences World University Ranking thematic list examined the performance of 505 leading higher education institutions in the world. All universities are rated by the same 20 indicators and four key areas of university activity – education (40%), research (40%), international indicators (10%) and financial sustainability (10%) – as RUR World University Rankings.
In addition to the University of Debrecen (228), only the University of Semmelweis (241) and the University of Szeged (247) could be added to the list.
Three U.S. institutions topped the rankings: Harvard University, Northwestern University, and Washington University in St. Louis.
