The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen will start a master’s degree program in sports engineering, unique in Hungary, from September next academic year. The institution received the permission of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee.
The aim of the specialization is to train engineers who will be able to conduct research in various fields of sports, design and develop sports, rehabilitation, and exercise equipment, as well as be able to measure sports and physical performance.
The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen is the first in Hungary to launch the training of sports engineers, which is closest in Europe to Vienna, and the world’s leading sports engineering institute is located in England.
The University of Debrecen has always been at the forefront of introducing novelties, and expanding the institution’s training range is a priority and an important task for us. Within the university, sports and a healthy lifestyle have played a key role so far, and with the launch of the master’s program in sports engineering, technicians can obtain degrees who can support this field of science in the future with both theoretical and practical training.
