Medical doctors of Hungarian and foreign nationality took their oath on Saturday at a ceremonial meeting of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen. 67 new doctors were inaugurated at the event, which was held based on strict epidemiological measures, the University of Debrecen announced.
After the oath, 19 graduates of the Faculty of Medicine with 48 Hungarian and 48 foreign citizens were inaugurated as general practitioners.
Several awards were presented at the ceremony. Sayed-Ahmad Mohamed, now inaugurated, received the Certificate of Recognition from the Rector of the University of Debrecen, the Pro Facultate Iuventutis Award, and the Memorial Plaque for the Student Movement.
Bui Quoc Thien, Huynh Thi Nhat Vy DETEP received a diploma for his work in the Talent Development Program of the University of Debrecen, and Gellért Military was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for the professional and public service of the University.
Master Teacher Zsuzsanna Bereczky, Associate Professor, was awarded the Gold Medal. The award was established in 1998 by the National Scientific Student Council with the aim of recognizing the work of lecturers and researchers dedicated to TDK who have been extensive and successful supervisors and organizers of science for at least 10 years. Zsuzsanna Bereczky was unable to attend the November awards ceremony at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, so she received the award at Saturday’s ceremony.
