The agreement reached between the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Debrecen and Yettel Hungary in Berettyóújfalu on Thursday is the focus of in-service teacher training and the development of digital educational materials.
The four-year but long-term collaboration was based on a recent training course in which educators joining the mobile provider’s “Hipersuli” digital education program could take part in a 2×30-hour accredited course. The aim of the in-service training, compiled by Mária Csernoch, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science, University of Debrecen, is to prepare teachers for the use of digital devices to involve them in the teaching of the various curricula so that they can apply for a two-semester higher vocational education at the university with a solid foundation.
It is an honor to co-operate with one of the largest telecommunications companies in Hungary in the future in enriching our training offer, during which non-IT educators can acquire up-to-date knowledge with which to renew the teaching methodology of their subjects in the accredited professional training of the university
– Róbert Keményfi, Dean of the Faculty of Humaities.
In addition to the acquisition of digital knowledge, the cooperation between the University of Debrecen and Yettel also includes the development of educational materials, the development of mentoring programs, and the establishment of internships and internships.
A new chapter has begun in the life of our digital education program, HiperSuli, because so far we have focused primarily on shaping the attitudes and renewing the teaching methodology of teachers teaching in lower and upper grades. However, our cooperation with the University of Debrecen provides an opportunity to directly contribute to the future supply of teachers, taking another level in promoting the digital education of young people,
– said Zoltán Dávid, Yettel’s Deputy Chief Strategy Officer, before signing the agreement.
On the occasion of the signing of the cooperation agreement, a professional day was organized at the István Kis Reformed Primary School in Berettóújfalu in Berettyóújfalu, which presented the best practices to the teachers participating in the program and interested in it.
