According to recent studies and measurements of OKK (National Centre for Public Health), quality of air in seven towns of Hungary is unhealthy for citizens because of the high rate of PM10 (dust pollution). Concerned cities are the followings: Budapest, Vác, Szolnok, Kazincbarcika, Sajószentpéter, Miskolc and Nyíregyháza (orange spots on the map).
However, cities like Ajka, Dunaújváros, Százhalombatta, Szeged, Salgótarján and Debrecen also have been declared as risky places regarding air pollution (green spots on the map).
Citizens living in the six most unhealthy Hungarian cities should avoid physical work and sport exercises outdoors.
