Elon Musk is once again the richest man in the world, according to Bloomberg. The CEO of Tesla was pushed from the top by Bernard Arnault, the CEO of the French luxury brand LVMH, in December last year, so Musk was in second place on the list for more than two months, but the strengthening of Tesla shares brought him back to the top, writes telex.hu.
Musk’s net worth was about $187.1 billion after markets closed on Monday, according to Bloomberg, while Arnault’s fortune was estimated at “just” $185.3 billion.
(Musk is still in second place on Forbes‘ list of billionaires with an estimated fortune of $197.7 billion.)
Although Musk currently holds the title of the richest man in the world, he also holds the record for the largest fortune ever lost in history. At the end of 2022, Musk became the first person to lose $200 billion in wealth in a year, after his net worth dropped from $340 billion to $137 billion.
