The Kéretlen Figyelem Debreceni Nők Közéleti Egyesülete (Unsolicited Attention Association of Debrecen Women in Public Life) will once again distribute warm meals to people in need in Debrecen on the last Sunday of August.
The meal distribution will take place on Sunday, August 30, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Petőfi tér, in the area in front of the underpass.
Due to limited resources, the organization can currently provide a warm meal for 150 people. Numbered tickets will therefore be distributed from 9:00 a.m.
The organizers are also calling on anyone who would like to support the initiative, either through donations or by volunteering.
They are currently collecting:
- School supplies and other items that can help families prepare for the new school year
- Non-perishable food, including fruit, potatoes and cooking oil
- Cleaning products
- Sweets and cakes
- Children’s toys
- Donations from restaurants, bakeries and food stores in Debrecen
The organization is particularly appealing to residents who are in a position to help to support the meal distribution so that they can provide a warm meal to everyone who comes to the event.
The organizers emphasize that solidarity with people facing difficult circumstances is an important measure of the strength of a city and its community.
