Retail sales in Hungary fell by an annual 2.6% in January, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.
Adjusted for calendar year effects, retail sales dropped 1.8% year-on-year but were up 0.5% month-on-month. Adjusted food sales rose by 1.5%, but non-food sales slipped by 2.2% and vehicle fuel sales declined by 8.5%.
