The XIX. Nephrology Days are held in Debrecen on 26-29 May.
During the four days, 70 lectures will be held for doctors and 23 for nurses.
A press conference was organized yesterday afternoon, where József Balla, vice-president of the Hungarian Society of Nephrology talked about the importance of the development of kidney transplantations.
During surgery, renal insufficiency evolves in 30-60% of the cases, which means that one-third of the patients need dialysis. If more than one organs fail, the chance of death grows to 70-80%. The purpose of the Nephrology Days is to find solutions that could reduce this relatively high number.
