The city of Debrecen received two awards in Budapest on the 4th of November.Debrecen received awards in two categories in the City Hungary Program on Monday; in the category of Sustainable City and in the category of Preserving Art, Culture and Heritage.
Debrecen highlighted the role of EDC Debrecen – Urban and Economic Development Center in its application for the title of a Sustainable City. EDC Debrecen helps local entreprenurs and startups to be more successful. The programme series of Startup Week Debrecen were also emphasized in the application (the event will be organized between the 14th and 19th of November).
Debrecen presented its cultural programmes, too. DESZKA Festival, Campus Festival and the Flower Carnival were also discussed as main focus points in the cultural life of the city.
The awards were handed over in Budapest on the 4th of November.
