Debrecen Zoo is giving their visitors one extra hour. With extended opening hours in August they are giving the visitors an additional hour to stroll around the zoo until 7:00 pm.Although the heat wave continues, it is still worth visiting the zoo. They have all the ingredients for a perfect day out, since the microclimate of the Big Forest is more favourable than it is of the city centre. Partly because of the thick shade of the wide-spreading almost intermittent foliage of trees and partly because of the water table nearby. Choose from a wide selection of cold drinks as well as delicious ice creams and shakes and refresh yourself at the humidor gates and misting fans.
The zoo’s animals are enjoying the hot weather with ice treats, mud baths and cool swimming pools.
