Several people were injured while cleaning the tank of a gas station in Debrecen on Tuesday, the Hajdú Bihar County Police Headquarters announced on the police website.
The Debrecen Police Department initiated criminal proceedings due to the suspicion of reckless endangerment committed in the course of employment, the announcement states. The filling station was closed for maintenance when the accident occurred, they added.
As it was written: the police received the report about the explosion at around 4 pm on Tuesday.
According to the investigation, employees of a company were cleaning one of the tanks when the explosion occurred under circumstances that have not yet been clarified.
