Tram services to change during Night Ride

The Night Ride cycling parade will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Tram services on routes 1 and 2 will be affected during the event.

Tram services during the Night Ride:

The parade will follow the route: Kossuth Square – Piac Street – Petőfi Square – Erzsébet Street – Antall József Street – Tisza István Street – Hatvan Street – Kossuth Square.

Between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., trams 1 and 2 will operate only between Kálvin Square – Egyetem/Doberdó Street – Kálvin Square. Tram services between Kálvin Square and the Main Railway Station will be suspended.

After the event, between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., trams 1 and 2 will operate in two sections: Main Railway Station – City Hall – Main Railway Station and Kálvin Square – Egyetem/Doberdó Street – Kálvin Square.

Replacement buses during the Night Ride:

Between 6:40 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., replacement buses 1V-2V will operate along the following route: Main Railway Station – Erzsébet Street – Külsővásártér – Nyugati Street – Segner Square – Pesti Street – Mester Street – Hunyadi János Street – Rákóczi Street – Burgundia Street – Kossuth Street – Farkatár Street – Hajnal Street – Wesselényi Street – Main Railway Station.

Replacement buses 1V-2V will stop at Main Railway Station (bus stop 10), Mechwart András Vocational School, Segner Square, Kölcsey Centre (Hunyadi János Street), Kálvin Square, Burgundia Street, Szent Efrém Primary School, and Main Railway Station.

During the parade, trolleybuses 3, 4 and 5, as well as services 1V-2V, 10, 10Y, 13, 14, 19, 22, 24, 25, 25Y, 30, 33, 41, 42, 45, 46, 60H, 61, 71A, 125, 125Y, 146 and Auchan services, may experience delays of a few minutes.
