So far, 3.5 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine have arrived in Hungary, Pfizer Gyógyszerkereskedelmi Kft. Informed MTI on Tuesday.
According to the announcement, the 22nd shipment – containing more than 330 thousand doses of coronavirus vaccine – arrived in Hungary on Tuesday.
It was written that Pfizer has been delivering vaccines to Hungary on a weekly basis for more than four months: the company reliably delivered more than 1.5 million doses of vaccine by the first quarter and significantly increased the number of doses from the second quarter, so 1.3 million in May alone.
The two companies are projected to manufacture and deliver more than 2.5 billion doses of vaccines worldwide this year. Under an agreement announced with the European Commission on 14 April, the delivery of 50 million doses of vaccine will be accelerated, so 250 million doses of vaccine are expected to be delivered to the European Union in the second quarter of 2021, the communication said.
