The Investigation Department of the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters has completed an investigation into the case in which nearly thirty people were interrogated as suspects for various drug-related crimes.
Based on the information of the Reconnaissance Department of the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters, local investigators, together with the operational units of the Counterterrorism Center and the staff of the Békés County Police Headquarters, carried out arrests in several counties of the country on September 26, 2019. during which nine people were produced at the time. In the course of their research, the police found and seized significant amounts of marijuana, amphetamines, millions of forints in cash, and devices used for portioning and selling drugs.
During the proceedings, six people were interrogated as suspects due to a well-founded suspicion of committing a criminal offense of drug trafficking. After their detention, the staff of the Investigation Department of the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters submitted a motion to arrest them, which was ordered by the competent court. In addition, six people who resold the drug were prosecuted for a significant amount of drug trafficking.
According to the data of the investigation, from February 2019 until their capture, the suspects distributed and sold different types and quantities of drugs in the territory of the country, mainly in the capital and in Békés and Hajdú-Bihar counties. During the detailed procedure, a further 14 consumers were prosecuted for a well-founded suspicion of committing a drug offense.
The Investigation Department of the Hajdú-Bihar County Police Headquarters carried out the necessary procedural steps and sent the resulting documents to the competent prosecutor’s office within a few days.
