During the Debrecen Flower Carnival, the city takes on a festive new look, with flowers, colourful installations and carnival-themed decorations appearing across the city centre. From Piac utca and Kossuth tér to the surrounding streets and public spaces, the decorations add to the atmosphere of one of Debrecen’s most anticipated annual celebrations.
The floral displays are an important part of the carnival experience, complementing the flower floats and the many performances and events taking place throughout the city. The 2026 programme includes flower-themed installations and events alongside the traditional parade, with the city centre serving as one of the main stages of the celebrations.
