About half a million tree seedlings were planted by the Debrecen and Halápi forests of Nyírerdő Zrt. In the vicinity of the Hajdú-Bihar county seat, the CEO of the company told MTI.

According to the announcement of Árpád Szalacsi, in connection with the Big Forest in Debrecen, they were afforested on about 65 hectares, where 375 thousand tree seedlings were planted in the spring.

The so-called first-year afforestation was carried out on more than 50 hectares, ie artificial afforestation took place in the area subject to the reforestation obligation.

The works used 76,000 pedunculate oaks, 159,000 domestic poplar seedlings and 8,000 noble poplar seedlings, as well as 92,000 acacias, as well as significant quantities of tall ash, pine, mountain and early maple, the CEO explained in detail.

He added that in the area of ​​Haláp forestry, on the border of Debrecen, another 155 thousand tree seedlings were planted on about 25 hectares. 76,000 gray poplars, 42,000 pedunculate oaks, 25,000 forest pines and 12,000 acacias were introduced into the area.
