The leading German premium home appliance manufacturer opened its first rural Miele Experience Center in Debrecen. The 115-square-meter Miele Experience Center features all product categories and will soon be home to exclusive demonstrations, cooking workshops, and other exciting events.
The German brand, which is 124 years old this year, is the best-known manufacturer of premium household appliances worldwide. The Miele company has been owned by the Miele and Zinkann families since its foundation in 1899. The brand, which has been present in Hungary since 1992, opened its first showroom in Budapest in 2006, followed by the second one in 2021. The list of these is expanded by the Experience Center, which was launched with a test operation in March and was officially opened on Wednesday in János Hunyadi Street in Debrecen.
“Immer besser – always better. This is what the founders wrote on their first products, and these are the two words that define the entire history of the brand and the company. Accordingly, we have designed our business according to this philosophy”
– said Nikolett Spengler, managing director of Miele’s Hungarian subsidiary, at the opening.
“As in all Miele Experience Centers, here too, those interested can learn about all our product categories, so the store in Debrecen also offers a perfect Miele experience, all the more so because we will start our brand-specific cooking events here from May”
– she added.
“We chose Debrecen because it is not only the second largest city in the country but also a serious regional industrial and economic center due to its continuous development. We also see that the demand for our products, which combine quality, design, the latest technologies and the pursuit of sustainability, has increased from this region”
– explained the manager. Nikolett Spengler took over the management of the domestic company at the end of 2020, with the mission of modernizing it with his team and increasing its recognition and market share in Hungary. The opening in Debrecen is also part of this strategy.
The 115-square-meter “Experience Center” aims to provide customers with a real experience, as it provides the most modern solutions, from baking and cooking to textile care to floor care, which turn housework into an experience. In addition to high-quality service, Miele’s specialists have an extremely high degree of product knowledge, so they not only help in choosing household appliances, but when it comes to designing a kitchen, for example, they can give advice to customers with practicality and design in mind. During the soon-to-be-started cooking demonstrations and textile care workshops, those interested can try out the devices in practice, wash, dry, or even iron their own clothes. In addition, technical support and own network service are available for those living in the region.
At the heart of the brand’s continuous innovation are both consumer needs and sustainability – whether it’s about energy saving or the fact that Miele voted for durability and long product life. The company’s latest innovations will also be available in the Debrecen store, such as steam ovens with the HydroClean automatic self-cleaning system or DiamondFinish cooktops, whose ceramic surface is twice as hard as the surface of similar products on the market, thereby greatly reducing the chance of scratches.
